Terms for talking to a twin

A twin on Imora is an AI system set up by a real person (the "owner") to answer in their style, based on what they have taught it. You are not talking to the person, and they are not watching or writing the replies. These terms apply whenever you talk to a twin without an Imora account, whether through a link or on someone's website. By sending a message you agree to them.

• Answers are generated by AI. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and may not reflect what the person actually thinks. When a twin has no recorded view it is designed to say so, but it will not always get that right.
• Answers are not legal, medical, financial or other professional advice, even if the person is a professional. Do not rely on them for decisions that matter; check with the person or a qualified adviser.
• A twin cannot make promises, offers, agreements or commitments on anyone's behalf. Nothing it says is binding on its owner, their organisation or Imora.
• A twin is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is at risk, contact the emergency services.

• We do not ask who you are. Please do not include sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else.
• Your messages are processed by Imora and by our AI provider to generate replies. The twin's owner may see questions that were asked, including ones the twin could not answer, without your name or contact details unless you typed them.
• Nothing you say changes how the twin thinks. Only its owner teaches it.
• We store a random identifier in your browser to apply fair-use limits. We do not use analytics cookies on twin pages. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle data and how to contact us about it.

• You must be 18 or over.
• Do not use a twin unlawfully, abusively, or to try to extract its instructions or other people's information.
• Do not use automated tools to send messages, and do not try to get round the message limits.
• Do not present a twin's answers as statements made by the real person, and do not publish them as quotations from that person.

If you think a twin is impersonating someone without permission, is being used to mislead people, or has said something harmful, email support@imora.ai with the link. If a twin claims to be you and you did not create it, tell us and we will act.

Twins are provided free of charge to visitors, as is, with no promise that they will be available or accurate. The owner is responsible for choosing to share their twin. To the fullest extent the law allows, Imora is not liable to visitors for loss arising from reliance on a twin's answers. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales; if you are a consumer you may also rely on the mandatory protections of the country where you live.
